Join Yoga Buzz for an evening of yoga and jazz at Washington University's 560 Music Center. This all-levels, hour-long yoga class will be accompanied by a live jazz trio consisting of Washington University faculty.  After class, grab a refreshment and enjoy a stimulating jazz concert.

William Lenihan teaches courses in Jazz Theory, Jazz Improvisation, and Jazz and Classical Guitar while maintaining an active life in performance and composition. He has played in the orchestras of many broadway productions in many cities in the U.S. on tour and also with many popular entertainers including, Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters, Lou Rawls, various rock and pop acts, and numerous other well-known personalities. William also has composed music for a number of trailers including James Bond, License to Kill and many others. He has authored five books in the field of jazz and also administrates and teaches the study abroad Summer Music Seminar in Florence, Italy at Accademia Europea di Firenze. 

Kara Baldus is a singer/songwriter. She started taking piano lessons at the young age of 5 years old and began playing professionally by age 15. Baldus is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Masters Degree in Music Performance. She has played with many local musicians including corporate leaders Galaxy since 2000. Her accomplishments include being chosen for the 2003 IAJE/BET Jazz- Sisters in Jazz Collegiate All-Stars where she performed at jazz festivals in Italy, France, Holland, Canada as well as the Kennedy Center on the Millennium Stage. Baldus’ influences include Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, The Beatles, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Aimee Mann, and Fiona Apple. She currently teaches jazz piano at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.

Drummer Steve Davis has over 135 recordings to his credit, including 8 of his own.  In addition to his extensive touring throughout Europe and North America, Steve served on the faculty of Jamey Aebersold Jazz Clinics from 1982-2008 and served on the faculty of the Berlin Conservatory of Music as professor of jazz studies in 2000 and 2001, as well as Port Townsend in 2007. He has written six drum books and is also a respected recording engineer in the jazz community, having engineered over 250 recordings. Steve is currently on the faculty at Washington University and divides his time between New York and St. Louis MO and playing with his own group.
