HISTORY: Blewett Hall, a large Tudor residence, contains administrative and faculty offices. Blewett House was originally built as a residence for University Chancellor David F. Houston, who occupied it from 1909-1913. After Houston's tenure, the building was sold to private residents. In 1946, a generous gift from Avis Blewett enabled the university to repurchase the building as a home for the Department of Music.
FUNCTION: In Blewett Hall you will find administrative offices, faculty offices, and our department mailboxes. If you have questions about the Department of Music, stop in Blewett 101 and ask our administrative staff.
