Biographies:
Mary Weber, Trumpet Soloist, is in demand throughout the St. region, including performances with the St. Louis Symphony, St. Louis Philharmonic, American Kantori, and the Bach Society, among others.   Mary is actively engaged in recordings, competitions, recitals, and lectures while managing the Clarion Brass, a professional brass quintet.
 
Previously Principal Trumpet with the New Orleans Symphony, Mary’s virtuosity and enthusiasm has brought her performance opportunities with such notables as Mannheim Steamroller, Mel Torme, Luciano Pavarotti, William Warfield, and The Temptations.  She has toured with the St. Louis Symphony throughout Europe and the United States, including twice at Carnegie Hall.
 
As a soloist, Mary has been featured with the Wash U Wind Ensemble recently, Compton Heights Concert Band numerous times, St. Louis Civic Orchestra, Alton Symphony, St. Louis Philharmonic, and the Saint Louis Brass Band.  She also performed a solo recital tour through Scotland.
 
Early in her career, she was privileged to attend the Tanglewood Institute as a Leonard Bernstein Fellow, under the Maestro’s baton.  In addition, she performed at the Spoleto Festival (both U.S. and Spoleto, Italy) and Classical Music Festival (Eisenstadt, Austria).
 
Mary holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from University of Miami, and a Master of Music Performance from Syracuse University.   She is Adjunct Faculty at Washington University teaching Trumpet, and has also been Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University, teaching a wide variety of classes, Development of the Orchestra, Music Appreciation, Bio-Musicology and Music Theory.   Mary also enjoys teaching private trumpet lessons with students from ages 10 – 94!

Sandy Coffin, trumpet, has performed throughout the US and Europe as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. She has presented recitals in 23 states, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Russia. She has premiered several works which were written for her, including “Red Sky” by Peri Mauer, “A Cycle of Songs” by Susan Kander, and “Captivity” by Lori Laitman.   Sandy is a founding member of Prometheus Brass, and freelances throughout the Greater New York area.   She is currently Principal Trumpet of the Garden State Philharmonic, a member of Gramercy Brass Orchestra, and performs regularly in several opera and pit orchestras.   She has been a member of the Finnish National Opera Orchestra, Colorado Philharmonic, and Canton Symphony, and has recorded a variety of jingles and commercial themes.

Sandy has organized several highly successful benefit concerts, raising funds for Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts in NY and NJ, and the Lake George Land Conservancy. Sandy serves as Director of Brass Band at St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s School, and is currently working with the Scottish Brass Band Association on some future collaborations.   She is also the Founder and Artistic Director of the “Music for Summer Evenings” chamber music series at the landmark Grace Memorial Chapel on Lake George.   Sandy has been the recipient of numerous awards, including a Watson Scholarship, an Aeiolian Fellowship from Oberlin, and the John Clark Award for Excellence in Brass Performance from Manhattan School of Music. She earned a BA in Latin and a BMus in Trumpet Performance from Oberlin College / Conservatory and an MM from the Manhattan School of Music.
