Biography:

Kevin Lou is a junior majoring in biochemistry and minoring in writing in the School of Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. He is one of the two winners of the 2015-16 Friends of Music Concerto Competition. Born in Boston and raised in Atlanta, Lou began studying piano at age four and has received numerous accolades, including the C. Merrell Calhoun Piano Prodigy Scholarship. In 2009, 2010, and 2011, Lou received first place at the Georgia Music Teachers Association Auditions. He is currently studying piano with Dr. Seth Carlin, professor of music and head of the piano program at Washington University in St. Louis.
