About Denise Smith
Denise Smith holds a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from Washington University. She has also studied at Peabody Conservatory, LEcole Hindemith, Switzerland and Fontbonne College. Her background is in voice, piano and conducting.
Ms. Smith has performed recitals predominantly in the east and mid-west, and has been requested as soloist for various works as the Faure Requiem and Vivaldi Gloria.
She has taught voice and piano at St. Louis University, Forest Park Community College and Incarnate Word Academy. Her students have won scholarships to Yale, Peabody Conservatory, Northwestern University, Oberlin Conservatory and Carnegie Mellon.
Currently, Ms. Smith is a full-time faculty member in voice at Washington University, conducts a concert choir and an adult choir at a church in the St.Louis area, and teaches private voice and piano lessons.
