MOCM Morning Music - Missouri Chamber Music Festival

General admission $15 (includes coffee and pastries)

The Missouri Chamber Music Festival (MOCM) presents its ninth season of concerts in St. Louis, June 17, 19, 20, and 22, 2019 at the 560 Music Center in University City and the First Congregational Church of Webster Groves. Audiences will hear stellar musicians from St. Louis and around the country. Season 9 of the Missouri Chamber Music Festival explores expressions of homeland and place, filtered through the lens of live music. Audiences will delight in hearing The Six Bagatelles by Ligeti, taking a trip down memory lane with Janacek in Mladi, or feeling the effervescent impressions of turn-of-the-century France at the Debussy Morning Music concert. Each of the four concerts carries the listener towards the Finale performance which shines a light on the music and influences of MOCM’s featured composer, and harpist, Hannah Lash. Ms. Lash’s career as a harp soloist blends programs of traditional repertoire with her own compositions and explores new territories for the harp and all instruments. Nina Ferrigno, MOCM Co-Artistic Director, shares, “What I find in Hannah’s music is a deep introspection mixed with a fearless expression. She is a unique artist… fluid between the “onstage” and “offstage” personas of performer and composer.” Single tickets are $15 to $30 each and a Festival Pass (admission to all four concerts) is $72. Tickets can be purchased online in advance and at the door starting one hour before the performance. Children under the age of 12 years old attend all concerts for free.
