Symphony Orchestra and Choir Concert
The WashU Symphony Orchestra and Choir will join forces for a special performance featuring Haydn’s Te Deum and Jamie Xu, winner of the Friends of Music Aria and Concerto Competition, will perform the first movement of Saint-Saens' Piano Concerto No. 2.

Biography for Jamie Xu:
Jamie Xu is a senior from Cincinnati, OH majoring in Linguistics and minoring in music and human-computer interaction. She has been playing classical piano for 16 years and has been involved with the classical piano, chamber ensemble, and jazz combo programs at WashU. She is the recent winner of the WashU Friends of Music Concerto and Aria Competition. Before attending WashU, Jamie placed first in the statewide Charlotte and W. Alfred Gray competition, second in the Southwest Ohio Buckeye Piano competition, and organized monthly studio recitals with retirement centers in her community. In her free time, Jamie enjoys cooking, reading, and playing keys in a rock band.
