Classical Theory I

Music 121C - Fall 2021

Introduction to vocabularies and skills basic to music theory through concentrated work in notation, the development of specific compositional skills, and musical analysis. Concepts of musical structure and aesthetic experience will be explored through the study of music from the Western classical tradition. Ability to read musical notation required. Keyboard skills desirable. Students who register for Music 121C are required to register for one of the subsections.
