WashU Symphony Orchestra
This program spans folk tradition, classical brilliance, new music, and cinematic spectacle—from the colorful Dance of the Yao People to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Flute Concerto in G Major, featuring flutist Jimin Lee, winner of the Friends of Music Concerto & Aria Competition. A St. Louis premiere by Andrew List leads into Antonín Dvořák’s American Suite, before the evening concludes with Howard Shore’s music from The Lord of the Rings.
