Candice Ivory, teacher of jazz and contemporary voice, published an article in the August 2023 issue of The African American Folklorist. In the article, Candice reflects on her own experiences as a blues performer as well as her interactions with contemporary blues icons such as Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, who will perform at Washington University's Pillsbury Theatre on October 16, 2023.
