Robert Snarrenberg, Associate Professor of Theory at WashU, has received a grant from the WashU Office of Digital Transformation. This Digital Intelligence & Innovation (DI2) Accelerator Award provides funding during the spring 2025 semester to upgrade the web-based application that Prof. Snarrenberg designed for students in his music theory classes, an application that he calls Westergaardian Species Counterpoint Online. A team of three undergraduate music majors is currently working on the project: James Baba, Dexter Chen, and Michelle Zhang. The staff of the Humanities Digital Workshop is also providing support for the project. The goal is to launch a new version of the web application in the summer of 2025.
