The Friends of Music hosted their annual Concerto and Aria Competition on Saturday morning, November 1. Twelve WashU students took part in the competition this year. The winner will perform on the February 22nd WashU Orchestra Concert.

The results of the competition are as follows:

WINNER: Jimin Lee, Ibert Flute Concerto (student of Jennifer Gartley)

RUNNER UP: Wilson Gao, Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 (student of Amanda Kirkpatrick)

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Shelby Elliott, Spohr Clarinet Concerto (student of Dana Hotle) and Brett Carnes, Ibert Saxophone Concerto (student of Joel Vanderheyden)
