Placement Days
Placement Days provide new students with an opportunity to meet our faculty and learn more about the applied music program at WUSTL. During your brief appointment, we will hear you play/sing (or conduct an interview with beginners) and provide you with information about lessons, including course credit, juries, attendance requirements, and fees. Afterwards, you will be assigned an instructor and an official course number. Click the links below to sign up for your appointment.
Besides lesson placement, Placement Days also give our student a chance to audition for one of our many ensembles. Most groups hold auditions each semester. Take a moment to learn about our audition requirements and click below to sign up for a placement audition time.
Placement Days appointments will take place at the 560 Music Center. This building, which houses all of our applied music activities, is a short distance north of the Danforth campus. You can easily find the 560 by following this walking route or taking the Green Line shuttle. For questions, contact Jamie Perkins (jmperkin@wustl.edu)
