Beat Therapy is a community outreach program that serves the Greater St. Louis Area through music education and music therapy. It was founded in the spring of 2011 by Jason Liang and Prateek Kumar with a mission to give the greatly talented WashU student body an outlet to perform and volunteer. Growing every semester, Beat Therapy consists of 5 exec members, 6 program leaders, and interest from over 400 students.

They provide various opportunities for WUSTL students and student groups to participate in music-based volunteer programming. Their trash can drum group CRASH! performs both on and off campus and holds auditions every semester.
