She was also a founding member and second violinist of the Wolfgang String Quartet, alongside Minji Ko, Sara Matlock, and Emma Schwarz, which took first prize in the Idaho State Ensemble Competition in 2016. The Wolfgang String Quartet also organized and put on annual benefit concerts from 2014-2017 which raised several thousand dollars to support local low income students in taking music lessons. Now, Ellie is completing a minor in music at Washington University in Saint Louis as well as a major in physics. After graduating, she will be participating in a summer long program working with the Northwest Youth Corp to maintain northern sections of the Pacific Crest Trail and to work on conservation projects in the surrounding wilderness.
