Kemper Unplugged: Sweeter Than Roses, A Baroque / Pop Bouquet

Co-sponsor: Kemper Art Museum

Kelly Daniel-Decker, teacher of applied music, and Todd Decker, Paul Tietjens Professor of Music, both in the Department of Music in Arts & Sciences, will blend musical genres of baroque, jazz, and pop with songs about love and romance, including composers Johann Sebastian Bach, John Dowland, Henry Purcell, Giacomo Carissimi, Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, and Ariana Grande. The baroque tunes and the sound of the harpsichord set the style for a reimagining of American pop standards and recent hits.
