Biography:
Trevor Schultz is a junior working towards a Bachelor of Music degree in saxophone performance and second major in mathematics.  He is an active participant in the WashU’s performing arts.  Trevor studies saxophone with Joel Vanderheyden, he is the principal saxophonist in the Wind Ensemble, and is a member of a jazz combo. Trevor placed second in the Missouri Young Artist aged 19-26 division of the 2020 Music Teachers National Association Woodwind Competition, was selected to the Missouri Music Educators Association All-Collegiate Band, and received a 2020 Merit award and a 2019 Antoinette Dames award for his contributions to the WashU Department of Music.  Trevor placed third in the Friends of Music Concerto Competition just over a month into his freshman year at WashU and was a featured soloist with the Wind Ensemble in the winter of 2019.  He has performed in Department of Music showcases as well as school and department recitals.  In addition to saxophone Trevor is an avid pianist and studies with Nina Ferigno.
