About Christine Armistead
Christine Armistead holds a Master's degree in vocal performance from Washington University. She was a founding member of the St. Louis Early Music Ensemble and has also taken leading roles in Baroque operas, including Monteverdi's Il ballo dell Tingrate, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Washington University's internationally acclaimed production of Handel's Orlando. Ms. Armistead did extensive study of Baroque acting with Nicholas McGegan and has appeared with the Boston Early Music Festival, and Tafelmusik, Canada's renowned Baroque orchestra. In addition to being a member of the voice faculty at Washington University, Ms. Armistead also teaches in Opera Theatre of St. Louis' Artist-in-Training Program.
